2 NICs in same subnet

Do not do this. This is not a good idea and you will have tons of issues
with WIN and DNS. Does your internal network go down so much that this is
needed? I could see having a backup for your internet connection but not for
your internal wired network. Why would this ever fail? These wires are
typically in the walls and should last a very long time unless you have some
construction guys in there cutting stuff I certainly recommend against
this as it is going to cause lots of headaches and I just can't see a need
for that kind of scenario unles there is more to it?

Sounds like a nightmare in the makings.. and a large expense..

servers are worth the effort.. but not clients! I've never seen wired to
wireless failover like that. You could put in a server nic which would give
you auto-failover capabilities, but both would be wired and this would be
very expensive.

Is your network so unreliable? If it really has this much trouble, you
would be better advised to take the money you would waste on the wireless
hardware, and spend it on a new wired infrastructure! You could buy a
1000' box of CAT5e for the cost of every wireless NIC..
