How much of a visual difference is there when an older movie (say from the
50's) is broadcast on an HDTV signal?

Thanks,

Eddie:

There are two types of old '50s' movies
available on HD signal......

1) Upconverted 4:3 analog movie.... Terrible
These vary due to good or avg. 'guts' in the HD set...

2) Reshot from movie film to HD.. Superb..
