I am getting the following blue screen message when
powering up:
STOP: x000000c5(0xfdbddfdd, 0x0000002, 0x0000001,
0x80468f52)

If you haven't installed SP4 yet, try it. It contains a fix for a similar
problem, according to this MS Knowledge Base article:

If that doesn't help, the troubleshooting will be more difficult. This
