I used to have Win98(partition C) and Win2000Pro(partition D) dual boot in
my machine.
Then I formatted both partitions, install Win2000Prof in partition C but
found the option Win98 when start up. Now I installed the XP Professional in
partition D and got 3 options when start up.

How do I get rid of the Win98 option ?

in partition c ,have a boot.ini file, use notepad to open it, then you will
see the Win98 option ,delete the line
