I have asus P5LD2 SE/C motherboard with Core 2 E6300, and I have overclocked it to 2.4GHz. Everything else works fine, but for some strange reason adjusting the processor Vcore does not work.

There is an option in the BIOS for changing Vcore, but no matter which setting I use, the voltage always automatically goes to 1.40 V when overclocked. This makes the processor run hot, at 58-60 C under load, constantly with full speed fans.

I have tried almost all bios-configurations and options I can think of, and updated the bios, but nothing has worked, vcore always stays the same. Does someone know how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

I use the P5N32-e SLI Plus and find that I have exactly the same problem. I OC'd the board to a judicious 1333 fsb and left the voltage on auto, which set it to 1.42. Now, no matter what I do I can't get it to adjust either up or down.
