purchased seagate Barracuda from Fryes. The box was sealed and when we opened the box it was missing SATA power cable, CD-ROM with DiscWizard "software and manual, Quick start guide,Mpinting screws. What can I do to solve this issue. Reciept was in husbands wallet for long time got wet and faded. Really dissapointed cause we spent so much money and didn't realize till sometime much later than purchase date that box was missing most of the contents. Your help is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Karebear

If can see what the store has to say. They may swap it out if they are convinced. If not, you can simply buy a SATA cable (they are cheap) and looks for a couple of mounting screws to get your use out of the drive.

Was it a retail box product or an OEM (or brown box) version of the product ?? Fryes sells OEM versions of many of the products which do not come with the extra pieces like you mention in order to be able to sell them to you cheaper than a retail store would -- Since most builders would not need those pieces and would rather buy the OEM drive to save the $ -- so might be you got what you paid for !

The Manual and Software can be downloaded free from their website in most cases so if you need them just go to the website and download a copy - the SATA cables as mentioned can be purchased if you do not already have extras and the screws usually come with your case (since many cases nowadays use screwless mounts) but can also be found in any computer store if you don't have them
