I have a Sony Vaio PCV LX700 (keyboard and mouse connect
through the LCD display) While trying to install W2K,
setup doesn't recognize the keyboard type and will not
continue. The keyboard is a standard PS2, but there is no
PS2 connector on the PC - only on the display. Can I use
a USB keyboard to do the install? I found nothing on
Sony's site related to this issue.

Thanks

Hi Dan:

You say that there is no PS2 connector on the computer, but yet the keyboard
is plugged in? How? I'm assuming that the keyboard is not plugged in at all
and that is why the Setup is failing?

You should be able to use a USB keyboard just fine, and in most cases, you
should even be able to use a PS2 to USB adapter and have it work just fine.
Remember however that sometimes using an adapter will not work. If the
keyboard doesn't seem to be detected when using an adapter, remove the
adapter and try again.
