No wireless networks found today

After having no issues finding available wireless networks on my Micron T2200 laptop today I am having a problem. With my wireless zero configuration started I was not able to view any wireless networks even though I know there are some available at the hotel I was staying at.

What steps should I take to have available wireless networks visible?

Was your wireless adapter on?

Did you do a site scan?

Use a tool like Network Stumbler instead of Windows Zero?

Yes, I was within range.

The wireless adapter was on and enabled.

I will install Network Stumbler and see if I get a different result.

Just to be clear... I meant use Net Stumbler for the site scan to see what is out there.
