When I read all the first reviews of the 8800GTX's from Tomshardware and Anandtech, they all the said the eVGA's 8800GTX was the best 8800GTX to get. I know that some new ones have come out recently, but is eVGA's 8800GTX still the best 8800GTX?

That is partially personal opinion, partial facts. I personally feel that eVGA's card is still the best one so far with what I have seen come out recently.

I personally would get the EVGA card, but all the 8800GTX are the same card. The only difference would be Bundles, Warranties, and Manufacturer overclocking.

I personally like evga just because you have step up available to you.
possible cheap 8900 upgrade?

though evga, bfg, or xfx are all great choises.

My bad, I forgot I'm being paid by Nvidia and newgg to put that there. Actually, I just bought an 8800GTX and figured everyone else puts something about the products they own in their signature, so why can't I?

eVGA is the best, but if theres too much of a price premium I dont see any reason not to choose a cheaper brand.
I think that provided warranty is the most important factor.

If it's the launch of a new card, (for example 8800GTX at launch) I would go with the best quality brand. BFG, XFX for example. MAYBE Evga.
If it's a few months into the GPU's lifetime, EVGA is the brand for anyone.

Step-Up program is the best, and EVGA's PCBs are usually high-end, comparable to BFG/XFX.

If you buy an 8800GTX from EVGA, I guarantee you'll be able to trade it in for a better card within 90 days.
