Hey Guys,

My name is Boris and I'm a new user on Tom's Hardware forums. Long-time reader, first time user. I'm hoping you can help me out. It appears that based on this article: http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/08/22/amd_dual_core_laptops_have_arrived/page2.html
,a TL50 will outrun a TL56 on a 533Mhz ram system, or are there other factors which would make the TL56 faster (L2 Cache size for example). Specifically, I want to know if it will be faster on this rig I would like to get, or at least worth the $70 extra:
http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&cs=04&kc=6W300&l=en&oc=bncwh3h&s=bsd

Thanks for your help in advance,

Boris

The only case I can think of is of the TL50 has dual channel RAM and the TL56 has single channel RAM. The TL50 could also have had lower latency RAM. Other than that it would have to be a GPU or HDD case where one has a better component.
