I can't take another episode of "American Chopper" or "Trading Spaces".
I'm sick of the same three movies being broadcasted all day long on HBO-HD
and ShowtimeHD.
Spare me from any more torture from Jay Leno, CSI, and "Law and Order".
The broadcasts of fish and sharks that turn your HDTV into a living
aquariums are still cool though.
And the bugs are fun to watch.
Just think, we spend thousands of dollars to watch ---- fish and bugs! :^)
(Just being cynical and lightly venting about not enough HD content,
hopefully yet. I really do enjoy all HD programming, especially the
Olympics right now -- except for the stupid Sony commercial! HELP!)

Summertime is always bad for TV, I am hoping things pick up as the summer
ends.

Totally agree.
Voom's weird programming seems to be full of cool surprises.
The original "The Time Machine" was a unexpected treat.
Picture quality looked absolutely perfect.

My unexpected treat was HDnet. The original specials are cool, but the
remasters of old TV shows (Square Pegs !!!) into HD was phenomenal. I was
stunned that such a thing was possible. I was a bit puzzled by their
decision to crop the pictures to 16x9 from the original 4x3, which is to my
eyes the equivalent of watching a pan-and-scan movie.

What are the chances that Voom will survive, financially?

Not sure.
But there's definitely a lot of bad sentiment against Voom.
There's profound hatred for Cablevision (Voom owner) by many internet
posters .
Many of those folks seem to just love the notion of Voom's demise.
I think the failure of *any* HDTV provider is bad news for all of us.
