right, my mum is uni, and she needs a memory stick, but for this week, shes been getn that she cant use her own pc to put stuff onto it, (she used to send it to my pc and i put the files onto it) well how would i fix this? i already tryed getn a pci -usb card but no luck, didnt install? if ure wondering the machine dosnt have SP2, should i update it to SP2? will this help

If it's a USB 2.0 pci card, then yes, you have to update to SP-2, otherwise the system doesn't recognize it. If you've already installed the card, it should have a yellow exclamation mark next to "Unknown Device" under your System Properties - Hardware. After installing SP-2, right click on the unknown device and pick "update driver." It should install automatically after that.
