I had this in the memory section, but didn't seem to get that many respones, so I'm hoping to get more answers here.

I'm looking into buying the eVGA 680i and I read that it's picky about memory. I know I want 2GB of DDR2 800 memory, so I went to their website and I found this list for supported memory:

Here is a list of memory that is reported to be compatible with the EVGA 680i SLI motherboard, this list will be updated frequently. Please email eparra@evga.com with other memory models so I can add them to this list. Thanks.

I was looking at the Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4, it seems pretty good and not that bad of a price. I did notice the the editors choice of memory, the Patriot PDC22G6400LLK from tomshardware was on the list. What do you guys think is the best memory for me to get with the eVGA 680i. Please keep in mind that I'm willing to spend no more the $280 on memory and please explain your answer, just don't say this brand is better, please say why. Thanks for the advice ahead of time.

If supported memory is running at the same speed and timings, it doesn't matter what brand it is. Just look at what memory your available vendor(s) offer. Personally, I'd choose Geil, Mushkin, G.Skill, Team Group, or Patriot. Actually I did, I chose Mushkin HP DDR2 800. It's not on the list but it has fairly good timings (CAS 4) and cheaper than most. So just choose a balance between timings and price that you like.
