Rosewill RT550-135-BK 550W 135mm Fan SLI Ready
GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 LGA 775
i already have the rosewill rcx-Z3 cooler, sell it or use it if i can? or should i go for a zalman?
do you think a BFG 7600gt would go good with this setup?, playing css. or what would u recommend around the same price range. i know its a noob question but iam stuck lol.
i have my eye on the cnps7500
or
the cnps9700
can anyone direct me to the light?
I've got similar system. Was a very happy build and is perfect for me.
However for your list I would recommend the 7900GS. I think that would be a better balance all in all.
The 7600GT is around $160 I think
The 7900GS is around $180. And the 7900GS Overclocks like nobody's business. I have mine running at 510/690 and I can clock it MUCH higher. So basically get a 7900GT for GS price.
As for your cooler...I have no idea. I just went out and bought a Big Typhoon. I dig it. Keeps it cool. Works very well. And is quiet. And fits perfectly on my board and in my case.
I've noticed each post suggests a slightly more expensive card than the one before it, so I'm going to go back to your original suggestion and say that yes a 7600gt will play CS:S just fine. I have a 7600gt and play at 1280x1024 with everything maxed except AA and AF, and it plays any map fine (yes, even Militia. I was a bit worried about that one, I admit).
The EVGA 7600gt is cheaper than the BFG, though. You can get it for $90 US on Newegg, after a $20 rebate.
