My son just bought a Sanyo 16:9 30" at Wal-Mart and it's really a nice
set... has built in tuners and PIP. Picture is stunning, but the one
thing that is annoying is watching anything but sports or narative
shows where you can't see someone talking. All news and regular shows
that is a HD feed (Comcast) has a audio delay.

I've heard of guys tweaking their AV Receivers somehow, but wondered
if Comcast is purposely delaying the audio so you will rent a STB from
them and be tempted to spend more money. In a set with a built-in
tuner like his, I don't think there are any controls for adjusting the
sync.

BTW, watched some of the Olympics and like many others have said...
there's noticeable artifacting and pixelization when divers do twists
and spins. I think that has a lot to do with the set, but for $749
this Sanyo is very nice. First heard about it over on the AVS forum.
