$109 for an off brand 40 amp! lol That is a bad idea!

antec 550 has 3 rails at 18amps for $109

silverstone strider 600 is 670 watt ($109 east luna) it is 60 amp @ 12, the stider 750 ($137) is 72 amp @12v,

got look at the specs! you can not go by the wattage.

Mr psu-eagle (falcon of power)

I get 8 hour a night at my job with nothing better to do but post in the forums. SO i keep an eye on the section where you are.
I hope you know that by calling the psu-eagle i meant nothing insulting - you do a good job at guarding the psu section! I meant it as nice nick name! Small joke. Ok now to the important stuff:

I clicked on your info - it said the 750 silverstone was 60amps so i looked in my case and it says 650 watts? i said to my self that's not 72 amps!

650/12= 54 amps ???

wow i swear they say 72 amps -- so now i feel dumb!

18 amps on 4 rails =72 amps but the most you can have 54 amps which makes more sense for 750 watt psu since that only leaves 100 watts for all else!

i been using these silverstones for 6 months with zero problems - thing i like is they blow so little heat out of the psu so i know its very very efficient.

those nasty coolmaxs you cook food with the air that came out -- probably pop a jiffy pop if you taped in on the back of your case!

But what if you're one of the people who got in soon enough to get the $50 rebate? How does the PSU rate as a ~$70 unit? I should be getting mine today and am upgrading from an antec 428 watt unit.

Not to sound like a douche, but price does make a difference. The argument from previous posts is the fact that a better PSU could be bought for the same ~$120, but can a better one be had for ~$70? Would a 'brand name' 450-550 watt unit perform better than the lesser known 700 watt?
