Need help! Confused!

I have been trying to overclock my system and was wondering about memory. i have 2gb corsair twinx xms2 pro ddr2 800. when overclocking my cpu (core 2 duo e6400) should i reduce my memory mhz to 533 (lowest available with my bios/motherboard) then try to overclock or should i set it higher or leave it on auto? i have a biostar tforce 965pt motherboard. xfx geforce 7900gt graphics card

While yours isn't a recommended board leave on auto for the ram setting.
Read through that and it might help with questions that pop-up/a give you a better OC knowledge base.
