Need OC help

i cant oc my cpu (c2d e6400) if my memory (2gbcorsair xmspro ddr2 800) is set to 800mhz. i have to underclock the memory from the get go, to overclock the cpu. what do i do?

why would you do that? use c2d oc guide in cpu/oc as a reference!

yes - try to lower the latency's too

Thanks. I thought that was the case. As i raise the cpu fsb doesnt it raise the speed of the ram? I couldnt lower my latencies anymore than 4-4-4-12. I could only get the fsb to 355mhz before i started becoming unstable. so i backed down to 340. i only have the stock heatsick/fan with two intake fans on the side and front of my case. any more i can do w/o more fans? id like to get to at least 400mhz
