Hi, I need help!
Completed build of new system, of which I have never done before.
Componets are as follows:
Antec 900 case
Raidmax RX-630A PS
Intel PD915 CPU
Intel DG965WH MB
EVGA 7900GS PCIE video
Pioneer DVD/CD writer
Sony CD writer
Generic FDD

Upon applying power my screen displays "no bootable device", I thought it would display bios setup to make changes before inserting boot disk for OS. or am I wrong.
I have very little to experience at this and need help to get system running.

Well you don't need a hard drive to get into BIOS. But you have to manually hit [DEL] or whatever to get into BIOS.

Otherwise, your computer will want to boot. So then you need the OS disk in the optical drive and you need your hard drive hooked up. Then you should be good to go.

BIOS tweaks still might need to happen though, but you can do that after you get the OS installed.

So, summary: BIOS won't start by default necessarily. Hook up your optical and hard drive, and pop in the OS disk. Install the OS and then the drivers and you're laughing. ;)

I can now get into bios setup, my harddrive is a maxtor sata/150 250GB, and hooked up/detected.
I removed all but essential drives from build, booted upon startup w/ OS.
Now do I create partition on hard drive for applications? Say about 60G.
