so I just started overclocking my system, and what CPU-Z says matches what I told the bios, but windows and orthos seem to disagree.

I'm gonna trust CPU-Z and my bios above windows, but should I be concerned about anything?

The question is, how did you overclock? Did you use clockgen or did you do it manually in the BIOS?

If you used clockgen, Windows will always report it wrong.

If you used the BIOS to OC, that is a more curious mystery, although I don't for see it to be a huge issue.

I did it through the bios...

idk, it continues to report the wrong clock as I continue to change settings.

That is strange. I would tend to believe CPU-z. You can check by downloading Clockgen and setting up the PLL controls, that will give you an exact answer. Clockgen accesses the PLL chip embedded in your mobo which in essence controls your frequency for alot of things.

If clockgen reads the same, aive further investigation.

If it doesn't, we need to do some more research.
