I even did not notice that.
But the price cut only applied to Netburst processors.

Sure

Intel will introduce new bargain dual-core and single-core processors based on Core Arch in the next two quarters. They should be competitive clock-to-clock with K8.

Then you may be disappointed. The rumoured specifications of the upcoming bargain chips will only spot 800MHz FSB.

What the hell makes you dislike 800FSB? The QX6700 suffers no bottlenecking and that's on a slightly faster 1066FSB and probably wouldn't be bottlenecked by an 800. FSB is hardly saturated yet, despite what AMD wants you to believe.

I personally don't like the 800FSB because it allows overclockers to run faster using cheaper RAM. Overclocking is THE DEVIL! All overclockers should SUFFER THE HEAVY WAGES OF SIN!!

That's gotta be the most ridiculous thing i've heard since all that jazz about the so called "millenium bug" in 1999.

I myself dont see anything wrong with buying a 175 dollar cpu and getting it to run faster than a 900 dollar one.
