msi P965 platimu OC software

I was trying to OC this mobo using the ocing software provided by msi. however, everytime i overclock it and reboot, the overclock settings revert back to standard values. i can't figure out how to use their overclocking software to keep the new settings even after a reboot. Does anyone know about this issue?

Secondly, the IDE controller makes my dvd player spin all the time. Does anyone know how to stop the controller from spinning my dvd drive even though it is not in use?

Dont use the oc software. Just use bios to oc the cpu.

Try to update the ide controller to the newest driver.
