I booted my friends machine, and I get to the point where
it's going to start loading the os (where you can press
F8) and I get the error message "Can't find
ntoskrnl.exe. Please re-load a copy of the above" My
questions is, he doesn't have a ERD. How can I re-add
this .exe back into the os without it and without
rebuilding the whole os?

Thanks,

Chris

ERD W2k doesn't help anymore. You need W2k distro CD, boot off CD into
Recovery Console if it wasn't installed onto hard disk, and copy the
ntoskrnl.exe file.
