  1. if you have windows 32 bit it wont let you use more than that--you need windows 64bit to use all 4gb

or if you are using windows 64bit you have a graphics card thats been allocated the rest

wasnt sure if you were being serious or not there--but googling topaz mcnumpty actually shows them as an edinburgh artist--and although i am scottish i cant even do art beyond matchstick men

and forgot to say it tells you if you are using 32bit or 64bit in the same place it told you about your memory

He's the one I know in another online place - just seemed a bit of a coincidence. Sorry for sidetracking this thread.

  5. Your 1.1GB RAM is being shared with VideoCard, even if your on 64-Bit, it's use that RAM and you'll see the same VideoRAM used on your 64-Bit system... for example, I got 4GB usable but it shares 1.7GB of my system RAM, when my video card was used and uses 700MB, it also affect my System RAM and it was reaching around 2.8GB usage... My VideoRAM is increasing my System RAM awhile the game i play also uses my System RAM... It went from 1.12GB Usage to 2.8GB Usage so the Game was using 900MB plus the VideoRAM that's uses and it around 600-700MB and made my RAM at 2.8GB Usage... On 32-Bit, nothing changes much but the System RAM, Note: Adding more RAM is going to be worthless on 32-Bit after 4GB....
