I have an older Dell 8250 system with a Radeon 9700tx video card with a DVI output. I just purchased an HP 19B LCD monitor with a DVI input. I currently have it hooked up anolog and was going to purchase a DVI-D cable from MonoPrice.com and was wondering what to expect with the quality of the picture compared to the anolog hookup I have now. Also, any recommendations on what video driver would be best to use?
probably no difference - i have hooked up several LCD's both ways - they claim the analog hook up degrades the picture but its difficult to tell.
Hmmm? was hoping for better results. Not that it's bad, but I was thinking it would be like watching SD television and then going to HD or at least 480p. Oh well, it's only a $10.00 cable so we'll see what happens. Thanks for your input.
