i was doing something in school and now i forgot the commands.

I just bought a wireless card and im on my network, isn't there a way from DOs Prompt you can see all the users connected to your router.

i thought it was arp -a but im only seeing my own mac address.. i thought arp -a shows everyone on your connection?

maybe i have that messed up..

anyway im just trying to view all info from my dos prompt. i wanna see the other users on my network there lan address and or Mac addresses. I know i can just go into my router and get this stuff, but im pretty sure online through DOS you can still achieve this.

if i got it right and it is arp -a why will it only show 1 pc

Thanks,

Rob.

I think you are completely off base.

Your PC knows nothing about who is logged into a router on your network.

At best you would have to log into your router remotely. Most commercial routers today have web based administration. Some do have telnet available; this would be 'like' a DOS prompt. And then you would be at the mercy of what was implemented by the MFG.

In a UNIX/Linux environment a 'who' will tell you who is logged into the host machine. If you were to allow remote connections, i.e. telnet, SSH, etc, you could see who was logged into the box remotely or locally.
