yea if only one game does it, it sounds like you need updates

They used the force for their review, you do not have the power. http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/1766/lsvadervu8.gif

The problem is not their review, it's you. You first mistake wasn't the GF8800 it was a PC instead of a console. Simple things those consoles, big lit power button. http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/4838/bashcompyh1.gif

I just hope you cleaned the drivers?
sometimes the old ones get there in windows even after using the uninstall ( you need the driver cleaner program NVidia supply cause the uninstall sometimes isnt enought )
I never had a problem with drivers ( except when I switched of mobos) so cant say this has happened to me, but I have heard it happen constantly to both ATI and Nvidia users...

also could be what Mpil said.. your powersupply is not enought to feed your entire system?? or a faulty videocard?

a good idea could be underclock it a lot, and see if it plays (underclocked should use way less power )

Yes, yes, we all know Tom's does BS reviews. What bothers me, though, is the fact that you're the only 8800 owner who's said anything.

Oh, yeah, I forgot. All the others are too busy cranking up Oblivion and watching it get torn apart.

Well I'd have to say that you either got a bad card or something because I just put together my rig and I have to say it's the best damn card I've ever seen. It has totally ripped through everything I've thrown at it. Oblivion cranked as high as it goes. Fear the same. COH and Titan Quest. Supreme Commander rocks. All these games I play at the highest possible settings and it screams. I did extrordinary amout of research to not invest the money I spend for this passion in junk. I'm sure that your problem will be resolved and you'll see that it is a great card :)

Test it with other games...if it does not crash....get a hold of plaync....ALLOT of people had problems with the last issue DC's/Crashing/Restarting BSOD....

I was playing and one guy crashed like 3 times in one mission.....don't blame toms.....get a hold of both Nvidia and PlayNC....if no one tells them....how do they fix it?

You should patch the game for start. You should know that COH has lots of bugs and too many people have problems (like me of course,it was unplayble on my X1950Pro but runs fine on my 8800).And its not Toms or nVs fault AFAIK.....

So Tom's isn't much better than Level 505 then.

EVGA 8800gtx superclocked out of the box. uninstalled nvidea display drivers, ran cd for 8800, update and no problems. I have scored as high as 10300 on 3dmark 06 with amd 5200 and 2 gig of corsair ddr800 ! try to reinstall it all ,update, and make sure you have enough power !!!!

let`s face it: you are ALL a bunch of liars.

please be honest and tell the guy that he made a mistake buying that card. he should have gotten an onboard chip and pay patience in all it`s glory......

Which CoH is it anyway, city of heroes or company of heroes? Anyway you're not using the drivers off the disc that came with it are you? I'd try the latest drivers and try out other games too. Just because it blue screens in a game doesn't mean its ur video card either. I had a ram slot go bad on my mobo last year, and it'd only BSOD when I ran a game, so check your ram too.

We talking about Company of Heroes? Me and my friends haven't had a single problem with it yet. We just update every time a patch comes out.
