Hi,
is there any software for my MS Mobile 2003 Ipaq 4150 which continuosly
scans for open Wifi access points? If it finds one, it should try to
connect to a webpage and beeps if a connection can be made.
Am I really the only one who would be happy to have such software?
MiniStumbler and WiFiFoFum don't "ping" so these programs are no option
for me.

The built-in Zero Config continuously scans
for AP's and/or devices in Ad-Hoc, and it
will sound off if you assign
a system sound to "Connection Established"
in Sounds & Notifications. I leave mine running
this way as I drive around town to see how much
wireless stuff there is. Just because ZC sees an
AP is NO guarantee that you can use it though. It just
"sees" it, you won't know if you can associate with
and use it until you take over and do that manually.
Nothing I know of will take it any further than
that, you need to open PIE and navigate to the
page you want yourself.
