I currently have a pentium 4 3.0 HT on a gigabyte ga-8knxp with 2 gb (corsair 512 x 4 DDR400) of memory and ati radeon 9800pro AGP video card. I want to upgrade my video card, however i'm not sure which one to choose. I'm thinking about the sapphire x1950pro 512mb, bfg nvidia 7800gs oc 256mb, x1650pro 512mb, or other nvidia cards (7600, 6800, etc.). Would x1950 be too much for this system? I'm planning to keep this system for about another 1-2 yrs. Please help me with this. Thanks.

An X1950 PRO would not be too much for your system.

It would be a nice fit, actually, and if you plan to keep it for another 2 years I'd recommend it...

The 1950 is a very good fit. There is a rumor about an 8600 agp model. You may want to wait a see if there is any validity to this rumor.

There is also an X1950 XT AGP version on the way soon, by the way.

Go for whatever brand is cheaper. The only real difference is in the warranty and bundles.

I don't think the R600 will be available in AGP, mate...
