Windows sign on

Someone changed the windows sign on when the computer is
turned on. I have tried Administrator with no password.
Is there a way to get around this or create a new sign on
without knowing the existing one?

and someone else forgot to create an alternative admin account
(same as everybody has at least two sets of car keys).
