I have a pc that is running Win 2000 Sp3. Every 5 minutes
it goes into Standby mode. In the power options I have
everything set to never and hibernation disabled along
with standby. I also have the screensaver disabled.

Does anyone know why this is happening and is there any
fix to keep the computer from going into standby?

Thank you!

Try to re-register powerprof.dll (regsvr32 powerprof.dll). Apply SP4. Update
BIOS and drivers if possible.

Sorry for being a pain, but how do I re-register the
powerprof.dll? I did a search for it and could not find
it at all.

Powerprof.dll is located in %systemroot%\system32 directory. If you cannot
find it at all it could be the explanation of the troubles.
If the file doesn't exist or is damaged, copy it from i386 directory
(original CD or Service pack) to the system32 and expand it as
'expand powerprof.dl_ powerprof.dll'

Re-register it as I mentioned as
'regsvr32 powerprof.dll'
