Win2k fails to start up

The machine with the 2k operating system is a Gateway
Profile 3. When it goes to start up, it makes it to the
splash screen and gets about 75% done and then just
freezes. The Machine can be run through safe mode. I
updated the bios and ended up ghosting over with a clean
image. The same problem would keep showing up.

Sounds like a graphics adapter and or driver issue. Also check Event Viewer
and Device Manager for errors and or non-starting devices.

It's likely that some device driver isn't working. Try removing all
unnecessary cards, see if it boots, then add one card at a time.
