As a very non-computer expert I was just wondering if the power supply in this build was powerful enough, if the motherboard that is 12x9 would have a problem with the 12x10 1/2 "Motherboard Form Factor" of the case, I am salvaging everything not in this list from my old computer and I know the ram is a little low but I hope it will work okay im just trying to make sure I don't run into any major problems as just this build is pushing my $1000 budget. Thank you all for your time.

Whoa. That's a ripoff. Unless you're not paying US dollars.

The psu is no good. Pick one with 400W 26A from this list:

1 gig of ram is plenty for xp. 2 gigs would be best for vista, oblivion, battlefield, fear, etc.

The prices here are all found on new egg I am glad to hear that the ram is enough, however what is wrong with the power supply and why would I want to go from 500W too 400W?

if you can get 2 gigs of ram....

do it. helps future-proof your computer and really makes huge difference; primary memory is one of the most important speed and access assets

Yes, the 8800 GTS should cost about 350- 375 max.

You want the smaller power supply because
1.) Coolmax does not make good Power Supplies
2.) You don't need 500Watts for this system.

Please consider 2 GB of RAM. It really helps when gaming.

You can drop down to a 8800 320mb and not notice a big change. You have a SLI MB but you only will use one video card. Try the Gigabyte DS3 or S3, good boards with a lot of features. That will you money for another 1 gig stick

Okay, thank you for the help I thought the 500W was weak I didn't know I was going with too much thank you for your help I will try to change out some stuff to get the 2 gigs can someone please direct me to a good power supply? I am going to look at those other Mother Boards also

Over at outpost you can get 2 gigs of that ram for $125 after a $10 mail in rebate. You should do it.

Edit: My bad, the stuff at outpost is 667. If you aren't going to overclock to far though, it might still work for you.
