I'm building an update rig;

My issue is CPU choice-- would I be better off using a FX-60 or a E6300 if I could build the FX-60 rig for less. I already have two gigs of DDR-400 ram.

There's a barebones unit on TigerDirect

Horrible case/mobo/psu... yeah. But it'll cost me less than a new rig with the C2D and a decent case/mobo/psu.

Advice?

Yeah, I've got a decent PSU lying around, the barebones PSU would probably be dead in a week anyway.

Based on performance charts the FX60 and e6300 seem identical.

I'm not interested in upgrade potential, or overclocking.
