yes that has been known for some time -- when the $500 quad core comes out it will drive (intel) pc upgrades. We will see starter $1500 quad core systems.

e4300 at $113 has less effect since major pc makers do not overclock mainstream systems

Wow... that awesome. I was pretty much going to help my old man in building a new system. Seems he wanted to switch to Intel from his old XP AMD 2400+.

Pretty much will be looking foward to prices in April then. :D

there u go guys

We have seen these before.. but hey.. I never mind looking at good news again :)

The E2160 and E2140 at $84 and $74 are basically a declaration of economic war on AMD, both of those chips will outrun a x2 3800+, maybe even chase an x2 4200+

The low end dual core arena is AMD's last stronghold, and this is a direct assault.

Barcelona had better ROCK or 2007 will be a really long year for AMD.

The Q6600 at $530 "almost" makes sense actually :)

An E4300 for $113 !

An E6600 for $224 !

A E6320, now with 4 megs cache, for $163 !

An E6600 just crushes the old Fx-62 which 10 months ago was a $1000+

Faster an 20% of the price... these ARE the "good old days".. :D :D :D

The E2160 at $59 might actually be an amazing deal to .. imho...

Intel is trying to blow out it's Core2 inventory as the next generation Penryn cpu's will be released later this year.
