I am having a problem installing a legitimate oem copy of
windows 2000 pro on a pc. the install stops in the middle
and reboots the computer and then starts again at the
beginning of the windows-based part of the installation,
i.e. when it asks you to provide your name and the
organization name, then enter the key. any ideas on why
this would occur and how to fix this? thanx in advance for
your assistance.

The OEM copy may be tied to the origonal hardware sys it was supplied with.
It is only actually licensed to the sys it was supplied with, even changing
a mobo can render it uninstallable.
