i am not very technical and was hoping to get some help. I
had to re-install my OS (W2K) and when the task was
completed the information on my desktop does not properly
fit on my screen. for example i cannot see "my computer"
and the "start" buttom w/o scrolling.

i went into control panal and then display but could not
figure out what to change (i was running at 800x600) then
changed it to 1024x768) still no improvement.

can someone please proivide me some help?

thanks

You need to check in Hardware/Device Manager and see if there are any yellow
exclamaition marks, particularly under Display Device.
If so you need to install yr graphics card drivers. Either from yr origonal
setup disks or the hardware manu.site.
There is likely also settings on yr monitor to alter the screen setup,
usually btns on the front of the monitor.
Could be either of these.
