Two user profile issues

Hi, I hoping someone can help me with 2 user profile related issues:

1)There is one user on our site who whenever she tries to open an Access
2000 (SR1-SP3) database gets the following error: ODBC-call failed
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver] [SQL Server] SELECT permission denied on
object 'ITEM_INVENTORY', database 'FSDBMR', owner 'dbo', (#229)

2) we have an Access 2000 (SR1-SP3) that reads off a .csv file. For some
users ALL the 'number' fields are blank on some PCs.

There is nothing on the MSKB that has helped so far.
