NT 4.5 on ASUS RAID

I am trying to set up a system with an Asus RAI mainboard and an AMD Athlon 1 Ghz chip.
When I start to install this this thing (RAID 0, so mirroring) it won't find the controller (Promise)at all.
If I put the NT 4.5 drivers on a disk, still the same problem.
Question: who do I have to set up this thing in order to get it to work and install Windows NT 4.5 (mirroring tow identical harddisks?)

Thanks in advance,

Jorge

What exactly is NT 4.5?

Now if you are talking NT 4.0, I may have a suggestion.

When installing the OS from the bootable CD, some drivers are not loaded at the NT initialization for setup.

I had a problem where my new Adaptec SCSI Ultra160 card would allow me to load drivers but setup would report that it could not find any mass storage devices.

Compaq informed me that I would have to use the 3 setup floppies to initialize NT, install the NT 4.0 drivers for the HD controller from the floppy like normal and voila, NT setup found the hard disk (2 9GB Seagate Cheetah in mirror).

Good luck and let us know what happens.

Check out my rig:

OK. Reboot your machine (may have to have NT4 CD in CDROM, not sure) & when it says "Checking your systems hardware configuraion" (don't quote me on that, I'm going on memory. anyway, it's a black dos screen with white writing at the top & is only visible for a moment) press the "F6" button, then press "S" to "specify" other device (have driver on floppy ready). You will be prompted to insert your "mass storage device controller" (somethin like that) drivers & your're rokkin n rollin....

If you loan a friend $20 & never see them again, it was worth it.
