Was looking at 27" TV's to fit in my old entertainment center. Saw the
FS series which I've heard good and bad about. Also came across the
KV-27HS420, a 27" model with HD capabilities that would fit in my
furniture. I'm not into HDTV, but was impressed with the picture
quality of the set.
I'm curious about the DRC feature. Does this increase the displayed
resolution of standard 4:3 cable TV ?
I also noticed it has HDCP. Is that good or bad ?
My options so far are fix the old set, get a $399 27", or the 27HS420.

Have you considered a fourth option ? Getting rid of that entertainment
center ? That's what I did, I determined that it just wasn't worth it
anymore to only have a 27" tv which is now microscopic.

Studio apt; essentially a bedroom.
I felt too close to the old 27".
Bigger tubes are too heavy, bigger plasma are too expensive.
Just trying to keep it simple.
Know anything about the KV-27HS420 or the FS series ?
