Hey guys, this is my first overclock so please be kind.

I have followed your guide but parts don't give enought detail for me to do it correctly. I could just jump in and try but i don't want to screw this CPU.

So first off all ill start with the specs you guys need.

E6600 B1 Stepping
Gigabyte 965P-DS3P (F4 bios)
4x1GB DDR2 Generic 800mhz
Antec NeoHE 550W energy-efficient

Yes i know this memory is generic but i can at least try.

Following your guide

I'm fine on steps 1 and 2 but when i hit step 3 i get confused.

1. Set DRAM/DIMM Voltage (vDIMM) to 2.1V or 2.2V if specified by RAM (+0.3V or +0.4V)'
2. Set MCH Voltage (vMCH) to 1.55V
3. Set FSB Voltage (vFSB) to 1.40V
4. Increase SB Voltage (vICH) by +0.1V from default-lowest value
5. Set CPU Voltage (vCore) for the following CPU

My main problem is that all these say what voltage i need to be at but my BOIS does not tell me the Defult/current voltage of any of these except CPU.

I can change all these voltages but for example how am i meant to know how to set MCH voltage to 1.55 when my choices are +## and i don't know the current voltage.

I've tried without changing some of the voltages but the system just reboots twice and restores bios to defaults.

Thanks for your help.

ok first of all, i would upgrade the bios to at least F9 or even F10... youll get more options that make things easier....

secondly, the default of your ram voltage on that board is 1.8v...

as for other voltages, im not sure... perhaps someone else knows those a little better than i do... i believe the cpu defaults to something like 1.35 or 1.25 or something, id have to look
