Just acquired a Samsung HLP-5063W set and am extremely happy with the PQ
using my Toshiba SD-3750 progressive DVD player. However, in playing a
video-intensive movie today ("Matrix Revolution" ), the video would
occasionally drop out for a second or two (audio wasn't affected). Happened
about four times over the course of the movie. Is this loss of signal a
result of errors on the disc or in the DVD player's processing?
I'm praying it has nothing to do with the set itself, which I doubt, as this
is the first I've noticed it after watching several DVDs. But with these
types of sets, does the signal have to be perfect in order for the video to
project? I'm thinking about those times with my old analog set where
occasionally a DVD would break up slightly, and was wondering if that is
what is happening here.

I've also got a Toshiba DVD player and experienced similar issues. Try
turning the 'Edge Enhancement' feature off in the Picture Setting menu.

It's the layer changes on the DVD. You just notice it more with the
higher light output of the new DLP tv.
