Old psu question

Usually on the power supply there is a sticker that has the specs on it. For a new system with a high end video card you want no less then 450W and your 12V rail(s) should have at least 30amps. How old is it and does it have a 6 prong power connector. If it is more than 2 years old I would get a new powersupply.

Well, it has a dead power supply in it now (I've had bad luck with Antec power supplies) so I am just talking about the case its self. Its old enough that I built a new Athlon XP 2100+ system in it when it was new. Had I think a 250w in it at the time. Didn't use it for a year and a half and had to replace the ps with a 350w Antec and that lasted maybe 6 months. I don't think I'll buy another Antec ps, but wondering if the case is viable to a new system (core 2 duo)? that I'm soon to build? Will order parts within 2 weeks for new system and just tryin to save a buck, but don't want to totally short change the system.

Yes I am on a budget.
