HELP with ati x1950 crossfire

I just ordered a system from gateway that says it has :

ATI Radeon X1950 CrossFire Ed w/ 512MB GDDR4, Dual DVI, VGA

Will this video card work on it's own or do I need to buy a second card.
I can not afford a second card for crossfire yet but want to make sure it will with out it till I can afford a second.
Please reply asap as I will need to cancel the order today.

It'll work fine on its own.
