I have a laptop running win2000 problem is when i plug a device (USB mass
storage) into the usb ports i cannot view the device as a logical drive in
explorer. I am able to access the drive via control panel/ administrative
tools/disk management. All drivers appear to be installed correctly and
device appears to be working fine. Any help appreciated.

What file system is it? If NTFS, do you have permissions to access it? If
not, take ownership. If it is empty, try formatting it. If it's FAT32, then
I have no idea...

Best regards
