Restore Active Desktop message ???

Dear all,

I have some backround picture as JPG format. So when seting them it enable
Active desktop.
Quite often I get the error message window based on active desktop, and then
I need to click on the restore active desktop button to recover to my
original..

Why quite often the active deskstop recovery screen comes up? what cause it
to loose the background picture ?
