Samsung ships "majority" of GDDR3 memory for Xbox 360

Samsung today said that it is the main supplier of the graphics memory for Microsoft's recently launched game console Xbox 360. Running at 700 MHz, the 512 Mbit GDDR3 memory, organized in a 16 Mbit x 32 configuration, is rated at a bandwidth of 5.6 GByte per second, which is about 3.5 times faster than the memory used in the original Xbox, Samsung said. well. most of the ram manufacturers use either jmicron or samsung chips for their ram sticks.
But, you can't pick ram based on brand name alone. Manufacturers hand pick high quality chips with overclocking potential and use them in high-performance RAM.

to see if that particular stick is any good - give us some more info, specifically - the timings, which look like: X-X-X-XX , e.g.: 4-4-4-12
