Hi this is more of a sat nav question than a ppc question, I have a Dell 5
ppc which I run tom tom navigator on and periodically when travelling I
loose the connection with the satellites. I plug the receiver into the cigar
light socket. Is there a way I can stop losing the signal, or is this a
problem that others users have, it can be very annoying.

Thanks to anyone who may be able to help me here.

Carl

Hi

Your GPS reciever should only seldom louse the signal, if you louse the
signal often you should check a few things...

Som cars has windshield that block radio signal, in thise cars there is a
spot behind the rear mirrow where the radio signals can get though, you
should place your gps reciever there.

if your gps reciever has an option to connect a external antenna to it, you
could do that and improve the signal.

place the gps reciever a place in the car where it has as must free view to
the sky as possible, if possible all the way around.
