I added some devices, and now when the machine boots up, it plays the
windows start up sound and stops, then the system looks as if it is
comming up properly (but displays just backdrop),
then the window titled "Please wait"
displayes the message
"loading your present settings"

Then the window titled "Please wait"
displayes the message
"Saving your settings"

and then loops back to the first message, and second message in an
infinite loop.

In the background, the windows startup plays in a loop.

I disconnected the newly added devices, but I get the same message.
