RAM timings on DG965wh

I have a DG965wh Intel board and Mushkin DDR2 PC6400 800mhz ram 5-5-5-12. This board is very picky so i was pleased that this booted up nicely. However, My timings are at 5-5-5-18. Works great, but should i put that 18 at 12 manually in the bios? I was about to do it was then i was like hmm ill ask, lol. How much of a dif will that make? I Dont know a ton about timings and latencies and such.

You are likely running at the (conservative) automatic SPD timings, and will likely have to boost the DIMM voltage for the tighter timings. See this post: http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware/modules.php?nam...
